Very nice corner for an afternoon snack

A bit noisy, but considering that it was the last day before the "lockdown light", that's okay. Ambience was a bit very dark. But the food was perfect and the coffees were also very good, gladly again.

don't be fooled by the facade! super friendly and delicious! especially the homemade cakes: D

A really nice cafe in Goho. Nice decor, friendly service and good selection. For breakfast I ordered the Swedish breakfast. A little more trout would have been great, but I was more than full. The coffee was very good. In any case, a good address for breakfast - a reservation in advance is recommended.

I refer to the previous review and can support the opinion of unfriendly service and lack of customer relationship one hundred percent! The rating is not about restrictions that the guest experiences, but rather the way in which paying customers are spoken to and dealt with. It is absolutely legitimate and incontestable that every cafe has its own rules that guests must be made aware of from time to time. However, the sound makes the music. You can also inform your customers about regulations in a charming, friendly and tip-generating way. In addition, it is questionable not to give out tap water because the hands are washed on the tap, or not to give out vodka because one does not think it appropriate (we could order beer without any problems). I think the waitress just wasn't in the mood for any kind of effort and that would always be conveyed in a very unfriendly tone. In general, it can be said that if the staff continues to deal with their customers like this, Café Mainheim will not be around for long. After this experience I decided to boycott the shop.

Very tasty breakfast We were unsettled at first because of the latest reviews, but wanted to stop by there. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the café was well attended and still got a seat quickly. I'll keep it short. Very nice service. Short waiting time. Really tasty high quality breakfast. Fresh ripe fruits, great cheese selection and finally the perfect spoon egg =) Fantastic bread and delicious croissants. The hygiene concept fits. I rarely write reviews, but here I am happy to give my unreserved recommendation. Keep it up!

Unfortunately, only the acceptable interior design earned this place a star. That reservation was made was forgotten. Instead, we were seated on a board with many other people. The mint tea was abominable. Wasn't green / pulled through after many minutes and didn't taste like anything. There was also no sweetener whatsoever. Worst of all, the mint was of such poor quality that I found three crawling animals in it! I would not go again!

Good coffee, good cake, good coffee

This simply is the best brunch place in Nürnberg. They make the best Omeletts and have really amazing coffee. I thoroughly enjoy every single brunch here. It is a little bit pricey, but so far I have not found any other place in the area that could compete with their breakfast experience.

We were sent to Café Mainheim on a recommendation to have breakfast there. The outside seating and the food are great, but unfortunately everything positive is ruined by the most unfriendly service I've ever experienced. In addition to nagging about changing places too often (we implemented ourselves once because a sunnier spot became free), inquiries were nipped in the bud with an outrageously puffy manner. When we asked if it was possible to get a glass of tap water, which is actually available in every catering establishment, she said: tap water is just not possible. We wanted to find out whether they have a special type of coffee. After our attention was drawn to not touching the counter, the condition actually told us, firstly, that she did not know what we wanted for coffee and, secondly, that she really had no desire to make it. At some point we had the faxes thick and just wanted to pay and leave. After fifteen minutes she deigned to take a look at us, after another 20 minutes we were allowed to pay and leave. There were five of us there and we all work in the restaurant business. We were accordingly friendly and understanding. However, I have never seen such an incredibly unfriendly manner. We will never end up there again.

Came here because it was advertised as one of the top rated breakfast locations. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Not good coffee roasting, underground service and breakfast was just average and too expensive. No recommendation...

Tragedy, unpleasant lady orders me in a pretentious tone where I should sit. Despite the plague and many vacancies, she wanted me to sit with other people, when asked if I could sit at an empty table, she said that I could not, because she decides. I laughed, typical German hospitality. This is how the tour of Nuremberg begins, if it is still a German city. ? I didn't eat anything, I left.

It is important that you can also sit outside. Especially in summer. A nice decent cafe with a good breakfast. The plates not only taste delicious, they also look delicious.

We (4 people) were there for breakfast last week and afterwards we all had the same opinion: It has badly subsided. Last year the price / performance ratio was okay. This time we were disappointed. Then there was the (almost) non-existent service. It must be said that at the time only 4 tables were occupied outside. Nevertheless, not a single time was asked whether everything fits or whether something is still desired. Likewise, the removal of the empty plates at our table, which was only done after 2 hours when paying. That could be optimized significantly, especially since the current wasp problem would then no longer be one. Too bad. A good service person would see this and act accordingly.

Café Mainheim combines high prices with incomparably slow service. Breakfast is ok, but too small for the price and not exceptional either. Unfortunately, the table is only cleared after asking several times, which is a disadvantage especially with regard to the wasp problem. All in all not to be recommended, there are enough alternatives in the area.

Nice seating area outside, sadly a lot of wasps so they suggested to not eat breakfast/lunch outside. The inside is stylish and in muted tones, very pleasing to hang out in. Toilets are clean, maybe not barrier free. The wifi was not working, but the service person was very nice and tried to fix it. One star less, because the vegan caramel chocolate tarte tasted mostly like dates and chocolate, no caramel taste whatsoever, which I was very sad about especially considering the prices. Maybe you could write or say that it has a strong date taste.

Food was good, but the prices for breakfast were very expensive. The wasp problem in the outside area was only answered with a "yes then just go in like everyone else". disgusted. Sitting in there in bright weather and in times of corona hysteria measures is not an option for breakfast.

We were there for breakfast, I would definitely not recommend the café for breakfast. It's a very noisy atmosphere, very expensive for what you get. And a very small selection.

Really nice coffee place / bar with super friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is delicious, presentation beautiful, drinks are very good and prices are absolutely OK. Overall highly recommended!!!

Great coffee,in my opinion the best café in Nuremberg

We were in the area and came across this café via Google. From the outside I have to honestly say it's not very appealing. But since we were very hungry, we are pure! - were also pleasantly surprised at the end :) You have to order your food at the counter and then get it brought to the table. Although there was a lot going on, the service staff were all very friendly and quick. The breads were very, very tasty!

real nice food, good place to hang out and people watch too-they have great outdoor seating for the seasonable months - their selection of desserts is quite possibly the best in town (vegan and non-vegan)

We had a delicious breakfast. They offer a great variety of options. The smell of fresh cofee spreads to the outside making an irresistible invitation to the people walking by. Service was super fast, kind and friendly. Prices are affordable. Definitely a place to return to.

The service is friendly and you can come in or sit outsite in the very heart of gostenhof - the famous city part of nuermberg. The different cakes are as recommendable as the coffee or just a cold beer in the sun!

We visited Nuremberg for the weekend and booked this cafe as there was 8 of us. 20 mins walk from old town, great brunch. Had the breakfast platter which was great, heaps of fresh bread. Good service for a big table.

a cozy place. for inside and outside. they have standard café drinks like cappuccino and chai latte and some nice cake. price is normal. good for hanging around, but not with a suit unless you are a teddy bear. teddy bears wearing suits are suitable for every place.

Amazing breakfast in a lovely and cozzy cafe

Today we went with 3 other friends to have something to eat. I can say that they were inflexible regarding our special requests or changes to the food. The lady in the cashier was very kind and willing to proceed with our request but the (I guess) café administrator denied our request arguing that system doesn’t allow changes. Second, we poored cold water into one glass and out of the sudden the glass broke down exploting due to the change of temperature. Seems that they don’t use tempered glasses! The administrador came to clean up the table and asked us if everything was right. Fortunately no broken glass hurt us. Of course, after that mess we asked for a new bottle of water, same as we asked (1 liter), to our surprise the administrator came with a small bottle of water arguing that only a glass was broken 200ml, hence he brought a small bottle of 250ml. Not sure if a small bottle of water outweighs the risk we had using these glasses. We didn’t expect this kind of service, specially considering we are frequent customers there. We hesitate to come back again there.
